Amelia Hilterbrand

,
Engineer

Curiosity and a love of learning are some of the strongest foundations an early-career engineer can build on, and they are exactly what Amelia brings to her work every day. As an Engineer at Reaveley Engineers, she approaches each project with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to understand not just the how, but the why behind the work.

Amelia graduated at the top of her class from BYU's Civil Engineering program and was honored with the department's Outstanding Graduate award, a reflection of the same drive and dedication she carries into her professional work. Her favorite moment from school captures something essential about who she is: for her capstone project, she analyzed a structure built in the Netherlands and then got to see it in person, experiencing firsthand the connection between what is studied and what is built. That kind of curiosity, the desire to close the gap between learning and the real world, is something she continues to bring to every project.

Outside of work, Amelia is drawn to the mountains, whether skiing, hiking, or simply being outdoors. She loves to travel and has a particular appreciation for the engineering wonders she encounters along the way, Rome being a favorite stop. When she's not outside, you'll find her cheering on BYU football or lost in a good fantasy novel, preferably something by Brandon Sanderson.
